Photographers are great customers
I opened Frame Destination, Inc.to cater to photographer’s framing needs. Being a photographer myself, it was obvious those needs were not being met and I realized the potential to help a lot of people. Having a customer base composed almost entirely of photographers and artists has a surprising and wonderful benefit. It turns out that our customers are an incredibly intelligent, honest, and courteous group of people. In talking with other business owners and surfing business forums it is easy to run across complaints about difficult customers. We have been in business for a couple of years now and have thousand of customers all over the US . I have not run into a single customer that I have regretted dealing with. In fact, everyone who has worked for us so far has commented on how nice our customers are.
I do occasionally have to argue a little with a customer, but it is not the sort of argument that I mind. We strive for quality, but unfortunately every now and then an order is not processed correctly. When that happens, we always try to make amends for the error and inconvenience in some way. Most of the time our customer will argue that we are giving them too much of a discount, or that we are going to too much trouble! In fact, just today I had a customer say ok on the discount but, “I want to pay half the shipping or I will be mad” and I replied “this was our mistake; I am not charging you any shipping so you will just have to be mad”. Of course he was joking about being mad, but I wasn’t joking about the shipping.
