Sell Matted and Mounted Photos with Clear Bags
We have a lot of customers that sell unframed photography in Art Shows and they told us the best bags for matted prints were the protective style crystal clear bags from Impact Images (clearbags.com) so that is what we carry. These clear bags are unique from most others because the reusable adhesive strip is attached to the bag instead of the flap. That way the mat or backing board cant get stuck to the adhesive strip as you insert and remove it from the bag. Most of the sizes we carry such as 18×24 are actually 18 7/16 x 24 1/4 which makes them large enough to handle and 18×24 mat and backing package that is over 1/4 inch thick.
We do not carry all of the sizes that Impact Images carries but the ones we do carry we sell for less and we have quantity discounts that start at just two 100-packs. If you don’t need a full 100-pack we also carry many sizes in 10-packs but Impact does not sell any 10-packs.
We asked Impact Images to offer the 17×25 size clear bag and they added that product for our customers that are printing on the new 17×25 inkjet paper. This paper is ideal for those with 3/2 cameras that prefer to print 16×24 instead of cropping down to 16×20. We also had them do a custom run of 13×38 clear bags for customers using our partner Red River’s 13×38 panoramic printing paper.
